1985 Mitsubishi Pajero leaking reardiff oil

Where the prop shaft goes into the rear diff there is acover around it and the oil is coiming out from behind this although it doesnt seem to be leaking when not moving

Thank you for the donation.

At the pinion flange, there is an oil seal and it is bad resulting in the leaking. When parked, it would not leak as the oil level does not reach that point.

To replace/remove the oil seal, the propeller shaft the oil seal has to be disconnected and the central nut removed. After taking out the pinion flange, the oil seal can be removed.
