Transmission Fail safe Re- set

: : : 1993 Miti. Eclp. 1.8 L. Auto, 100K recent replaced motor from a 1994, now trans is stuck in Fail Safe, how the heck do u un-do that? Please, (by fail safe I mean it starts out in high gear), even if you manually shift into 1, 2 or any gear, has reverse, there was NO problem with tranny b4 engine was repaced and it was towed < NOT on a flat bed. : : :

Hey hired,
In your underdash fuse panel there should be a fuse marked TCM or Trans. Pull this fuse for 10 mins, then re install. Let us know!
