1992 Other Mitsubishi Models Question Regarding On Board Dia

Check engine light was on and was not idling properly when it is first cranked. Took it to local repair shop--they said it was a bad computer (ECU). I was able to open the computer unit and change bad capacitors. It still having the same problem.
How do I operate on board diagnosis and where is it located on the car?
Any other suggestions?

Hi srwines,

If it is 12 pin socket found attached to side of driver side fuse box.

Bridge terminal 1 and 12 to get blinking from checklight.

If OBD II type diagnostic socket, bridge terminal 1 and 4.
