I have to troubleshoot this myself, and have discovered the cheapest place to start will be to bleed the master cylinder, can you explain how to locate the necessary outlet. And how to accomplish this task

Is it possible to tell us a little bit more about the problem you are facing?
To bleed the master you have to do an air bleeding operation starting from the farthest wheel from the master.
