1997 Mitsubishi Mirage Starts hard and won't idle

The car starts with great difficulty (starts immediately after engine is warm and better when the ambient temp outside is warm) And once it does run, it won't stay running at idle speed. It does go down the highway with no problems once I get it going.

Get a free scan done at Autozone and let me know if any trouble codes are retrieved.

Poor idling are mostly due to a faulty Idle Solenoid Control valve and dirty throttle body.

Did you try increasing the idle speed?

Difficult starting when cold could be due to low fuel pressure or vacumn leakages, ( can cause poor idling as well).
