2001 Mitsubishi Galant HEATER NOT WORKING

When I put temperature control knob to hot it springs back to netral positon and no heat is coming thru vents although when I place temperature control on cold it stays. The air condition works but the heaing system does not.

The temp knob operates a cable.
The cable operates a door in the duct work under the dash.

You will need to visually inspect the cable and door to see what is causing it to spring back.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
