1999 Mitsubishi Galant What parts do I need to purchase?

Today my timing belt went out on my car & the quote the shop gave me is outrageous I have an Uncle who can do the work I just need to know which parts I should buy since it's an interference engine & I may have messed up the pistons & the head I need to know what all I should buy then my Uncle can fix it & any other information you may have about my issue since I know nothing about cars. Hi there,

You will need a timing belt, top end gasket set, head bolts, thermostat (always good to replace this if the head is off) coolant, the head will have to be taken to an automotive machinist as you will not be able to cut in the new valves at home, the head will also need some machining, this will be all done by the machinist and then you can re assemble the engine again.
