1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 125892 miles

I have a problem. At low RPM speeds there seems to be a rattling noise but at Higher RPM speeds it sounds fine. And then the check engine light came on. I believe I have an exhaust leak but now I am not sure since the check engine light came on. Please help

An exhaust leak can cause a check engine code by causing the engine to read that it is running lean throwing a obd code!

Get it scanned for codes though to see what its registering.
