1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse car turns on and off

Car turns on an off real quick if I try restarting it right away it will just turn but not start I have to wait for like a min then it will start but dye again

Check the fuel pressure and report back with the readings this is where we start

There is fuel pressure, just in case I checked the fuel pump and is working

Use starting fluid thru the throttle body if it fires up and stalls-again I ask you to check the fuel pressure could be low EFI system don't like low pressure and then report back.

I used the fluid but it just made a sound like it didnt want to turn on, then it turned on but it shut of again

Will I need to bring a mechanic for the fuel pressure or can I do it my self, also somebody told me it was the memory, note when I checked my alternator the positive cord was all burned I think I had a short there the positive was touching the negative, they said that probably burned my memory
