1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Fuel Pump

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs, My fuel pump is not turning on/ kicking in when I turn the key forward in my ignition. I have checked all my fuses and the wiring harness does not seemed to be damaged. It was working fine up until the other day, my rad hose blew off so I put it back on and filled up with anti freeze, then went to start the car and the fuel pump did not kick in. I cant get it to a mechanic for a while, any suggestions on what can do or check? This happened before then after I left it for a week I turned the key forward and everything worked.
