1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse engine bogging 97 Eclipse

I have a 97' Eciplse that has an aftmermarket eaxhaust, DC header and AEM Cold air Intake. Currently the engine light is on due to the modifications. While driving I noticed that the engine light would go off the car would bog for a second then the light would come back on and continue to perform normaly. Dont know what is going on.

I had the same problem after I put a $6000 Memphis Audio system in my car. My car was bogging and losing power I took it to a mitsubishi dealer it took about two weeks to find the problem. The computer had to be updated cause the computer can only think so much for itself then we have to step in. The computer thinks that the stock parts are still on the car when the update happens it will see the changes and should run fine after that mine did havent had any problems with it. Goodluck
