My daughters car is a 1996 Mitsubishi eclipse. It has high mileage but has been kept up well. It has recently been giving her problems at start up or when the motor is cool. It wont idle without dying. If she drives it say 20-30 miles then it will be fine and will idle properly. I have done the simple and replaced the PCV valve but obviously wasnt it.

Try testing the coolant temperature sensor and clean out the idle air control valve and exhaust gas recirculation valve Last check the fuel pressure-
