2002 Mitsubishi Diamante

Burns oil without leaving any oil marks on floor. I add about 2 qts every 45-50 days. I've been told I need to replace valve seals. Also, motor mount is bad. Is this an accurate assesment and what am I looking at from a financial standpoint to repair this. Also, I've never replaced rear struts and it has a thump sound when I have people in the back seat.

The mechanic's recommendation is correct.

The book time for valve seal replacement is 9.9 hours. Parts should cost around $ 200.

Noise from rear would have to be checked/tested. It could be anything from bad struts to worn bushes or control arms.
