1994 Mitsubishi Diamante how do I get my alternator out

I have a 1994 mitsubishi dimante 6 cyl sohc and need to know how to get my alternator out. It's completely loose but I can't get it out. Someone said to fish it out from the driver side alongside the firewall to the passenger side but that doesn't work. I've tried to take off my CV joints but that don't work either. I took my motor mounts off and jacked up the engine but that doesn't work. I've tried fishing it threw the top, bottom and nothing seems to work so SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME. I can't afford to take it to a shop.

I don't think thats right because my alternator is in the back of my engine

Alternators are on front of engine. At rear end, next to transmission is the starter motor.

Is the diagram of the alternator correct?

Just to confirm this.

When you say back, does it mean it is nearer to the driver? That is you are looking at it from front end of vehicle?

The diagram shows a view from the left (driver ) side of vehicle.

Which one of the pics below are you removing? Because as tech KHLow2008 has provided the info for your vehicle and that is the proceedure for 93 - 95. So lets make sure we are removing the correct item.
