This model also has a center console, and I remember a box mounted under the rear of the center console. Could this be the elusive ECC? How can I tell?

I have a '93 Diamante LS, 6cyl dual overhead cam, Automatic. Manuals I have looked at all seem to say that the ECC is mounted on the left side, under the dash, behind the Glove Compartment. But, when I get in there, I find no ECC.
This model also has a center console, and I remember a box mounted under the rear of the center console. Could this be the elusive ECC? How can I tell?
