1992 Mitsubishi Diamante Correct Computer

I own a 1992 Mitsubishi Diamante (dual overhead camp) and at times, it would shut off when I go reverse and the engine will not turn over and there is no response when I try to turn the car on. It acts like there is no battery in the car. In June 2007 I had the computer replaced. I would like to know if there is a way to find out if the correct computer was replaced.

There are 2 different computers for this can, the number is on the engine controll unit itself

And you also know that there is a transmission control unit also, and that one can cause troubles also, you really need to find someone who has the tool to get the trouble codes, that might help a lot
