Check Engine Light issues 1999 Mercury Villager

Have 1999 Mercury Villager with OBDII Code P0135 (O2 sensor malfuntion). Replaced O2 sensor, but code returns after a few starts. Also get pending code for knock sensor malfuntion. Any help appreciated.

P0135 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
Could have changed the wrong one? Or if you have a questionable knock sensor. It could be interfering with th 02and causing incorrect mixures. Also make sure theres no grease or oil in the 02 connector or on the wires. Will cause problems with the heater circuit!
