cv boot leaking grease - rf - how serious? Estimate for parts and labor?

If not torn all the way around(small hole) just the boot and new grease can be done, if dirt and water are in the joint, it's best to replace the joint. Most shops replace the hole shaft with a rebuilt, if done by a shop, expect to pay 300.00 us dollars or so. A shaft can be bought for 60-100 us. But then you need to install it too! The problem is either way, it needs to be removed (same hours) to do it!
