1993 Mercury Topaz leaking

My car is leaking sometimes looks like streaming water I constantly putting water in it, I took to a mechanic and he said it was the seals by the pump, and 250 to repair, dont have the funds til payday bout a week is there a temporary good stop leak solution til then, thank you

The water pump gaskets for this vehicle are only about $5.00 at the most. There probably trying to get you for labor.

They make all kinds of liquid sealants that can seal the leaks, but other times it can clog your radiator and other parts of the cooling system..

Often these sealers seal up heater cores, radiators and small passages which costs way more to fix in the end.

, but if you really don't have the money to replace it now theres this stuff called, "Bar's Leak Stop" is supposed to work well, depending on how bad the leak is.
