Tie Rod End
Question about Inner Tie Rods
1991 Mercury Sable, V6 103,000
Just told that I could not get an alignment due to unsafe Tie rods.
How long can I go before fixing them?
Also, how much should that cost?
have the same problem?

Like a good friend and tech said to me, "worse case scenario is you have them fail, lose control, slam into a school bus and kill some kids, your name is all over the newspapers".
Bottom line of you have play in them, get them fixed. Get a second opinion if you need. Plan on an alignment. There are quality and economy parts, prices will vary.
