1997 Mercury Sable powersteering, radio, windows

My vehicle loses powersteering, radio, and power windows in reverse. I have changed my neutral safety switch and it has help, but has not completely fixed the problem. I have had the car only three weeks and do not know the history of the car. The service engine soon light is on and the car lot where I got the car says it is the catalitic converter. Of course no problems when I test drove the car. Can you help?

First have the car tested at an independent shop to say what the Service Engine Soon Light is. If it is something major, it is generally possible that you have bought a Lemon, and should return this car as soon as possible for refund.
