Heater blowing cold air when set to warm. Car overheating rapidly. Will overheat and stall until cool. Fluid in overflow for sure, not able to check radiator because the car is always hot. I'm thinking heater core. Funds not available to replace this. Could there be another problem?

Sounds to me like the Thermostat is simply stuck closed.

The hot water isn't able to circulate, causing the lack of heat in the car - and also since it's not flowing it can't cool down causing the overheating problem.

Thermostat replacement is usually a do-it-yourself job and very low cost.

A bad head gasket can also cause a rapid overheating but this is not a cheap fix at all - so start with the $3.00 problem :)

ps/ check the water level in the radiator when it's cool/cold. Never open the cap when it's overheated
