1998 Mercury Mountaineer headlight

I have a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer. My problem is that all my lights work except my headlights. I replaced the headlight switch but still have the same problem. Can you help?

Does either hi or low beam work? If you play around with the high beam switch can you get them to work?

Thank You for responding. I took the whole blinker assy. Off and took it apart. There was a lot of corrosion on the contacts inside the light switch. I cleaned them off and it works good.
