2003 Mercury Marquis Continue Warranty?

My friends Mercury Marquis is running out of its warranty. The dealer will extend the warranty for 4 years at $2,000. The car has no problems and runs great. Is this a wise investment or do you think the car will have minimal problems over the next 4 years and skip the warranty? Thank you.

What she must aske herself is, what is piece of mind worth? No one can tell you nothing will go wrong, but these are fairly reliable cars.

Dont forget most extended warranties pay only up to the book value of the car for repairs, more info here:
