1987 Mercury Marquis battery size

If I install a battery smaller than the one that I supposed to use in my 1987 mecury grand marquis, what kind of problem(s) (if any) would I have?

Hi
Well, in cold weather it will probably fail, there won't be enough cold cranking amp reserve. Its always best to replace the battery with the proper size required for the car.
