1999 Mercury Cougar spark plugs

Hi, was wondering, I am trying to change the spark plugs on my cougar, How do I get the black boot off that goes at the end of the plug wire?

You mean the boot that goes over the spark plug? It just unsnaps when you pull on it. If you mean the clips at the coil pack side of the wires then they unsnap then the wire disconnects from the coil pack
