Noises problem
1996 Mercury Cougar V8 Two Wheel Drive 103, 85 miles

I have a 1996 mercury cougar with about 103,000 miles on it. I just noticed like a humming sound in my front end. As I accelerate it speeds up, and when I slow down, it sounds like you just turned off a vacuum cleaner, you know how the engine slows down. It sounds like its coming from my right side front, but when I slow down, its sounds like its in the middle front. It doesn't make any noises when I turn corners.

Start with checking the tires, sometimes if the alignment is out it will wear the tires, known as cupping. When you drive the tires will hum. If they are all right then have the front wheel bearing checked.
