Oh damn I am trying to torque the head bolts on the head gasket

If you have a 3.8 there is a technical service bulliten and an extension on the warrantee, probably over that anyway, it covered you to 100,000 or seven years. TSB# 00M10 SUPP. #2 issued November 2000
If you do this one yourself, get teflon sealant and apply it to the short bolts, these are the ones closest to the exhaust manifold...As for Cougars all built at the Lorain plant from June 9 1993 to July 31 1995 are covered.
