while I was looking around under the hood my car I see that there are many electrical cords haning and not connected. How do I find out what they go too?

To do it yourself you can buy a repair guide for your car. Other option is to take it to a Ford dealer and have them check it out. More expensive but you will know it's right.

P.S. If everything is running/working fine then I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)
