2000 Mercedes Benz SLK230 Lights stay on

After the car is turned off and locked the parking lights and fog lamps stay on until the battery drains. I know they’re supposed to stay on for a couple of minutes and turn off automatically. But they stay on “forever now. Yes, the headlight switch is in the OFF position. And pushed “in" (i.E. Fog lamps OFF).

Check for a water entry problem in the trunk. Water may run down the two large multi-wire harnesses into the PSE module. The PSE module may be somewhat filled with water, extensive corrosion and damage on circuit board. Open the module for inspection.
