Got a 2003 Smart Roadster (0.7liter 3-cilinder turbo engine with 82hp) used. The first 7000 miles all worked normal. However, after servicing for replacing the oil (it was still at maximum level), oil filters and air filters, it started to consume oil. After 2000 miles it had drained 3 liters of oil. Went to the garage, refiled the oil and for the first 500 miles, the oil level was always at maximum. However, in the last 200 miles, it started to consume oil again, and now it's in the minimum level again. Is this normal? What could be wrong?

Hi there,

Do you know what type of oil was being used before you purchased the car and what oil are you using now?

Hi, don't know the oil it originally used, but now is using a 10W40, I think. Castrol GTX, but I'm not 100% sure.

Now that I checked: it was originally using a 5W30 oil and it was replaced by a 0W30
