I HAVE A 2003 MERCEDES VANEO AND THE DOOR AT THE BACK IS NOT OPENING FROM THE OUTSIDE BUT JUST FROM THE INSIDE

You more than likely have a broken door handle relaese armature that is preventing the door from opening from the outside. This will require removal of the inner door panel tto verify.
