Hi I have a 1988 MBZ 190E 2.3L 4-Cylinder engine automatic transmission, 229,000 miles, now my problem is fuse number 13 blew, and I went to replace it, I tried all sizes, and right when I put it in that second it pops, and I would like to know what the problem is, and how I can repair it, also it takes a minute to start, you have to crank it a while, but it alway starts, what could need replaced? Thanks so much looking forward toward your quick reply

I had the same problem

look on the battery basket area. Do you see a metal unit with one or two red fuses in it? If yes, look and see if either or both of the fuses are blown. Replace the blown ones and try again. If no help, try to find a friend who has the same car and try swapping out their good one and see if it helps. Good-luck
