My husband took the car to a local shop that said it would neeed a new radiator and they kept it over night while the wait for parts he also quoted him a price of five hundred dollars. The net afternoon he returned the cr with good news the car did not need a radiator so it would not be as much. We drove the car today and had to return home because gage was reading hot all the green fluid he put in is now on the garage floor. The bill lists work done as Drive belt, A word I can't make out starting with t----pully, fan clutch, hose. No break down no labor 340.00 which my husband gave him in cash

It sounds like maybe he replaced the fan clutch. This sounds no good all around. Not even having a readable repair order is tough to begin with. I would calll and find out exactly what was repaired. What component specifically. (Fan, fan clutch, etc.) A failed fan or clutch can cause an overheating condition however a good tech would have verified that the problem was fixed before delivering the vehicle. I would find a reputable shop to bring this to as you may end up spending more in the long run letting someone throw parts at your car instead of properly diagnosing it.
