2001 Mercedes Benz CLK320 Catalytic Converter

I have a CLK 320 Cabriolet. It has 77K miles on it and a week ago I started getting a rattle in the catalytic converter. Is this an inherent problem with these cars? I talked to another guy with the same issue and Mercedes fixed it for him at no cost but he was under 50K miles on his.

Not sure if it is an inherent problem, but you might want to call MB and ask them about it. They are big on customer loyalty and service. Let them know it is the finest car you have ever owned and will eventually buy another, but you are worried about large repairs like this being a problem in the future. Get it?
