My Check Engine light came on, I ran a scan and got a 0400 EGR Malfunction code. I have located what I think are the EGR valves (there are 2). Can they be removed, cleaned and replaced as opposed to replacing?

I have never tried to clean them, but you can try some carburator cleaner to see if it helps. EGR valves usually just stop working properly rather than becoming clogged.
