Is it acceptable to patch a punctured leather arm rest in my C230? Is this a permanent repair for this type of accident to leather? I want the repair to last as long as the car.

Repairing your armrest by patching it may last a while but not perminently. If the puncture is on the door panel replacing it will require removeing the door panel, grinding out the plastic retainers for the armrest and plastic welding the new armrest in. If it is the center console armrest, this can be repaired by replacing the center console lid. If this is the rear center armrest the leather can be repalced but the rear seat will require some disassembly.
