1999 Mercedes Benz C230 skipping

My car starts skipping during acceleration and if key is turn off and back on skipping will stop then it will run fine until u have to stop and have to go again please help me I have spent all kinds of money trying to figure this problem out could you give me a hint on what it may be thank you conrad

By skipping, are you refering to the vehicle cutting out while accelerating (no throttle response)? Or by skipping are you refering to the vehicle jumping, bucking or jerking under acceleration? Also what has been replaced so far to attempt to remedy this? I will be able to narrow the possibilites down with this info.
