Hi, my car starts and ticks over well, but when I accelerate it backfires until the engine is hot, then it runs perfectly. Thank you

Hi there,

This will normally be a mixture problem, this type of backfire is usually due to a lean mixture, you may have a vacuum leak during warm up or a problem with the injection system, you will need to have this investigated.
