I replaced my wiper motor due to non-functioning wipers. Now it heats up but does not work. What could be the problem?

That could be a wiring and corrosion problem. First, make sure that your motor is wired correctly. Second, make sure that the wiper arms move freely. If it's been sitting for a while they may have rusted solid, in which case simply take them apart after hitting them with a liberal amount of a rust remover\lubricant combination, and then test them again.
