Engine Performance problem
1988 Mazda Truck 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am having a problem with my truck pulling up a hill. My engine runs and idols ok. When I am on a flat straight away it has some power, but when I go up a hill it boggs down and has a big problem making it up the hill.

Hi there,

do a compression test first, if all OK do a full tune up and see how things go, but if the engine comps are low you will be looking at a re build or new engine.
