2001 Mazda Tribute Engine Head Work

My mechanic has found a (one) burnt exhaust valve on my V6 Mazda Tribute, and has suggested a rebuilt of the head/valves. Is this entire re-built required?
All other cylinders appear to be in good condition (220-230 psi). He also suggests that the other head and valves be rebuilt for "piece of mind" and to ensure the engine has both heads are relatively in the same condition. Is this neccessary? Thankyou.

Hi there,

It is advisable to do both heads and make sure the other valves are in good condition and that they are all sealing, you will find that only the burnt valve will be replaced and the others will be re seated to ensure a good gas tight seal. This is normal practice with head work.
