My ac is working only on the 1 or 4 setting. It will blow air on 2 and 3 but no cooling. If I jiggle the selector button it may kick on. Please help. Could it be the switch?

My CEL light has been on for a couple of years now.I have periodically tried to have it fixed. It keeps throwing the 02 Sensors code. But they have all been replaced now. Any ideas anyone?

Hi aisy,

After replacing the O2 sensors the problem comes back and a scan says it is O2 sensor faulty again?

How long after replacement did the fault return?

If the time lapse is very short, you might have got the wrong type replaced or replaced the wrong one as some models have two O2 sensors, but I am not sure how many your car is equipped with.

KH. The mechanic I took it to said once he replaced the front two 02 sensors to drive my car and not turn it off for at least 10 miles. The cel stayed off. But when I turned the car back on again. The cel came back on. He has also replaced the wiring harness for that stuff or something. Which of course didnt help either. Hehe. I am not sure how many 02 sensors my model has.

Hi aisy,

You said two, so that should be it. Did he use original O2 sensor for your car?
Aftermarket parts sometimes do not work out well.

Hi pnle119,

I am not sure the exact location as I am not very familiar with this vehicle but O2 sensors are fitted into the exhaust before and after the catalytic converter if there are two.

Hi aisy,

Forgot to ask you this, did you scan the code again after the it reappears?

What did your mechanic say when you went back to him?

Did you erase the codes stored in the ECM?

My mechanic is at a loss. Sigh. He stated his truck was doing the same thing and he has not figured it out yet either.

He has tested my. Ummm errrrr I think the ecm right? To make sure that it was not just freaking but he said that wasnt the issue.

Hi aisy,

I suggest checking the tuning and emission system for any probelm of clogging or malfunction. You might need to replace the O2 sensor again.

I had the same problem. The solution ended up being a cracked intake tube after the airfilter. This was causing faulty readings on the O2. Replaced for like $40 and the light went off. I'd check that next
