1994 Mazda Protege AC Fuse Keeps Blowing

Ok my ac fuse under the hood 20amp keeps popping I put a new one in about 2 minutes later it pops again ac clutch does engage and ac blows cold air before the fuse blows I took it to a shop and they said the ac compressor clutch may be bad and is drawing to much currant and blowing the fuse I just want a second opinion before I pay $700 to have a new compressor put in

First of all thank you so much for your donation. If the fuse blow's every time after the a/c is on for a few min's. Then here's what I would do unplug the a/c compressor then turn the a/c on and see if the fuse still blow's after a few min's if it doesn't blow then it look's like it's the clutch. If it still's blow's it's not the clutch it's some where else.
