my gas gauge always reads full it stays at past full all the time what do i do to fix it

Hi there,
It sound like the sender unit in the tank is faulty, to test, locate sender and unplug loom, turn on ignition , if gauge shows full still it is a faulty gauge if it has stayed on empty it will be the sender unit.
