I own a 1995 mazda mx-6 24 valve v6. My transmission recently went out and am thinking of puting a 2002 toyota camry engine and trans my friend is selling to me real cheap because his car is totaled. The camry engine is a 4 cylinder and automatic trans. My car was also automatic. Do you think this is a good idea. Will it cost me more and most of all will it fit my car? Please help![/B]

Its possible. BUT expensive. For one the engine mounts are not the same. Two the wiring harness is not the same. Three the computer is not the same. Four the driveshaft are not the smae and probably not the same length. Etc etc

It would be cheaper to buy a new transmission for your car!

Plus who wants a 4cyl when you have a 6 cyl
