1992 Mazda MX3 help

Charge light came on and then car would not turn over the next day - we jumped it and it started I drove it around a bit and then it just died again - not sure if it's the battery or alternator or both? Just asking cause I cannot afford labor charges at this time. Thank you, Christine

The only way to know is to test each one.

You can have the battery and alternator both tested at a local part store such as AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts for FREE of charge. You can test them off or on the vehicle.
