Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Mazda MPV 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 83,401 miles

Can you provide a diagram or way for me to see the locations of these valves? They have never been replaced or serviced. When the van is cold and I start it, sometimes there is a loud hum coming from the air cleaner housing, but it warms up pretty well. When I get to the first stop or two, the engine idles a little rough. However, when the van is warmed up, it runs perfectly. Help!

Hello -

If you do need to get back with me please let me know if your model is a DX, ES, or LX. Also is your engine size the 2.5L?

I have provided the info I believe you need. For the hum. . ...it may be your IAC. There is a TSB out on this. . ..I have attached that info and other info on the IAC.

Next the PCV. . ..the location and check of that. . .. . ..it should be inspected every 60,000 miles. Me, I would change it as they are not that much. . ...preventive maintenance I call it.

EGR. . ...I have attached a check for it. . ...the other check you need test equipment and the information on it.

Then some other sensor info
