Hi any help you can give me will be very appreciated, cause i'm getting so much confusing answers.

When I bought the car apparently the water pump had a leak(the seller chose not to tell me until after he was paid of course), couldn't get it changed right away so of course it got worse. The timing between fill ups got closer and closer.

Anyway long story short, the car eventually stopped one day while driving and after awhile I tried putting water into it but it leaked right back out. The car sounded like it wanted to start at first (like a whirring sound) but then it just wouldn't start at all so can you tell me if it was the engine or the head gasket or maybe none of the above? Please Please Please Help!

Hi aliforbes, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

If it was the headgasket you'll be experiencing overheating problem, are you? To prove if its a headgasket -get it block and pressure tested if not do below to determine if its a fuel or spark problem and comeback with some results.

Hi yes the car did over heat when it shut off and then wouldn't start. And it hasn't started since, so you think it's most likely the head gasket and not the engine blown? The car is not starting at all since it overheated. Like I said it shut off and then I put water in but it leaked right back out and then the car sounded like it would start but it didn't and then it didn't make any noise and wouldn't start.

Get it block and pressure tested to rule out the headgasket cracked head or block and intake leak
