2002 Mazda B3000 oil guage

I have a 2002 mazda b3000. After about 45 minutes of highway travel at 60-70 mph, when I stop, the oil guage bounces until I press the gas pedal again. Its only after kind of long trips. Short stop and go trips the guage is fine. What is wrong with this?

Have you been keeping track with the oil change? If so check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump or engine bearings.
